heater core

    Can anyone tell me which heater core to order for my 1960? it only has to levers: one says "fan" and the other says "def"..Is this considered "fresh air" or "recirc air" system?? how do i tell the difference? Need to order this heater core quick...thanx! :confused:

    It sounds like you have the economy or recirculating model. On this version the entire heater and defroster is contained in the passenger compartment. The only thing showing on the firewall are the hose barbs.

    The deluxe or fresh air model mounts the heater core in a large sheetmetal box on the firewall. The upper portion attaches to the long opening near the top of firewall on the passenger side.

    Its in the top image. The middle and the bottom ones are for the Webasto gasoline-fueled heater only available in Europe, e.g. Sweden, etc.
