Can anyone help me figure out how to wire up the 3 position fan switch, photos attached? It almost looks like the 6v to 12v resistor is in place to me (probably lacking some asbestos insulating material ). The battery terminal appears to be identified, the fuse block needs some brushing up and a fuse, and then the other terminal wires to the 6v fan. I am converting to 12v, so if I read the archives correctly, the newly bought resistor should be in the power leg before the switch. What do I do with the flakey heat sink that is already attached to DPO switch? Thanks, Larry

That's an original one Larry , early ones said " air " on them and the later ones said " heat " or "DEF " .

Anyways , it's a two speed switch and the resistor is for the slower speed .

DO NOT run 12 volts through this switch ! add a resistor or better yet , voltage regulator before it to prevent overheating the switch .

    I hope this helps
