I everyone, I've been busy with a basement project but need to do some work on my 59.

I tore out the heater and had a new core built and got a heater control valve from the guy in Wisconsin. I ordered new control cables from one of the catalog companies.

The heater control cable was missing when I bought the truck. I'm ready to put everything back together and install it, but I'm not sure how to route the control cable into the heater core housing where it attaches to the valve.

There's one small hole on the top, but the new cable's a little tight. Of more concern, the cable would need to make a tight turn between the top of the heater unit and the underside of the dash as well as a tight turn inside the heater housing.

It looks like a straight shot in through the hot air outlet, except that would look tacky, get in the way of the defrost air redirector, and probably isn't where it originally was routed.

Thanks for taking a look at your rig and passing on where the cable goes in!

If my memory serves me, the hole in the top of the heater is where the cable goes, and it does have a curve in it. I put new cables on my heater also and the temp control was a bit stiff to move. Chris
