help ID'ing old Chevy photo

    I'm pretty sure this is a 56 or 57. Anyone know for sure?

    its not a 57. more than likely it a 56 .the 57 hood has two ribs, the grill is different and the fender emblem is different.So in my opinion your picture is that of a 56.

    Either a 55 or 56. Great picture though, I love seeing them like that...of course I like to see them on the road as well though.

    55, Emblems below fender line. 56 were above fender line.

    That's a terrific 'photo .

    I bet 90 % of that '55 TF is paper thin :( .

    Where is it and what engine ? . (I'm looking for a 261 I-6)

    Well on the 261. In cheyenne, wy were I was living there are about 15 50's chevy 3/4 ton with 261's in them. Wish I had a chance to grab one. If thats not to out of the way. Lots of old cars floaating around that state.
