Help PLEASE...What part is this ?

    I have some kind of switch that is mounted on top of the Thermostat Housing. It has one wire going from the switch to a connector on top of the carburetor. There is another wire leading from that same connector to somewhere behind the engine...I need to know what the switch on top of the thermostat housing is please....THANKS

    Sounds like some sort of heat switch for the automatic choke.
