Found that I may need a longer clutch release bearing...mine is 1 1/4" (86 Astro clutch/pp set) and the shift fork is very near the bellhousing. Maybe for a pre 72 truck? Anyone know an application?

Also need to find the bushings for the shift arms on a 53 3 speed. I believe they are cork where they go through the side cover.

On the old trucks there were two lengths of TO bearing, one for the diaphram PP and another for the three finger PP. I believe they were called "Long" or "Borg and Beck". Can't remember which took the long bearing but Charlotte is big enough to have a brake and clutch re-manufacturer and they would know. If you have an accomodating FLAPS they could look up two Chevy TO bearings with different part numbers and one should be the long one. Tell the truck owner that the S10 T5 WILL NOT stand up behind a V8 without judicious driving and regular non-sticky tires. He will love the engine saving OD and gas mileage. For the more heavy footed guys we use the World Class T5 found in some Camaros but easiest to find in Mustangs. Both have the shifter in the rear location which is a bummer with a bench seat. The TKO 500 and 600 have shifter relocation kits but I don't know about about a T5. For the shifter seals there is a place in Dallas called Wade Transmission that stocks just about every part one needs for old standard transmissions. Just google "Wade Transmission Dallas, Texas".

It actually is a world class t5. Just going to be a shop truck, not a hot rod. Not a big build on the 327, just stock reman.
