    Hey Guys-

OK- for my '50 3600, I now have a 1/2 ton axle on the front with a disc brake conversion kit, 5 lug x 4.75 bolt pattern. For the rear I have (but not yet installed) the rear axle from a 4x4 S-10, again with the 5 lug x 4.75 bolt pattern.

The wheels I was using with the old axles were 16.5" 8 lug- I like the look, stance of the truck, and the fact that the original hubcaps fit. Now I need new wheels, and I'm not sure what to look for.

I'm sure someone here has done a similar conversion. My questions are, what wheel size would make the most sense?

    - Should I look only at 16" (I think the 16.5 are obsolete now), or would 15" work? It looks like the 15's are easier to come by, but I like the height of the 16's.
-Maybe taller tires with 15's, or would they be hard to find?
    - Looks like the hub is centered on the originals (no off set), so is that what I stay with now?
-Is 7" width a good size for an AD?

My goal is to keep the truck looking fairly original- not looking for the "hotrod" look, and if I could use my original hub caps, that would be great. I'm just at a loss as to where to start. Also- any recommendations as to where to find wheels?

When I'm finished with this project, I will have to give away:

4 8 lug wheels and tires, good shape
front 3/4 ton axle with huck brakes- good working order (axle needs king pins, tie rod ends)
rear 3/4 ton axle with huch brakes- good working order as best I know
bendix brakes from the '53 1/2 ton axle that I used- don't know about condition- never used them

    Anybody need this stuff?

Any and all advice greatly appreciated- I just don't know anything about wheels/tires.

    Thanks!!!!
