Well I have the new bracket and MC installed but the heim joint and rod don't line up exactly. The illustrations on the instructions aren't real clear on the proper order of the bolt, spacer,washer, nut arrangment so I need some help. I checked the CPP site and looked at a couple of the tech articles with little help. They just don't show the hardware installation specifically. Does anyone have a good picture of a working installation. If not what do you recommend. Do I put a washer on each side of the heim or just leave the bolt head next to it with the spacer on the other side? It comes with two spacers but with one it's to far one way and with two its too far the other way, It is better but still not a straight alignment on the rod to MC. I can grind down one of the spacers but I though this was supposed to be a straight bolt in installation. Any recommendations appreciated.
NOTHING is EVER just bolt in, grasshopper. You must learn the ways of the marketing department, young Skywalker.
Well, Grasshopper, I'd put one spacer, and add a couple of flat washers 'till I get proper alignment. Make sure nothing rubs the Heim joint to cause a bind.
