    Hey gang,

I have a silly question someone can easily answer. I have the beaded window seals for my 52 Chevy 3/4 ton truck. I am told they just staple into place with a T-50 staple. I can't see how to staple these seals into place. I can't staple into the metal of the door.

I'm sure some of you have been through this. Help??

    Eric

Eric, although they were stapled in originally, I don't think many people have the machinery to do it at home. We always used the smallest pop rivets we could find to attach them.

    Hope that helps.

You can also use 3M windshield urethane, it's what holds glass in the new cars. I wedge a block of wood in 3 or 4 places between the inner door panel and the strip and let dry overnight. Will work with the glass in by rolling window up and using thinner wood wedges between glass and strip. Be aware, this stuff really holds and the strip will not remove without damage to it but the way I figure it the fuzzy is probably good for another 100K miles so why worry.
