    Wow ~ Hard To Belive....

    ...He'd yank out a GMC 302 and dump in a (yawn) 350 Chevy engine ! .

That's a nice old truck there even though .

Sorta nice truck but shame about the damaged front end, still a little beating on it with a large hammer will soon get that chevy looking how it should

Where are you Zig? I thought you would be all over this. Especially after taunting by Brit and Ken. I didn't get ya all riled up with the Bonanza thing did I? Hopefully you just haven't crawled out from under your truck for a day or two.

If only.... I reckon I can be happy with what I got though. My expectations ain't all that high.
I still wonder where Zig is. He should be getting a kick out of this much attention being given to a GMC.

ok lets be honest here, a chevy grill is like a smile from the prettiest woman that melts your heart and you remember forever,

A G*C grill is like a smile a drunk gives just after he's been smacked in the mouth with a baseball bat

    Thanks Gater!!!

GOSH, it's GOOD TO BE HOME!

A friggin' tree limb took out our cable last Thursday eve. (i believe it was...) The Cable Guy came out and hooked it up, but I guess he was so damn sure of his work, he failed to check to see if maybe the limb screwed up the line between the box and the house. A guy came out today, and whallah~ I'M BACK!!!:D

So much to say about these comments, but I'll just say the BEST photos have GOT to be of that b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l GMC grill!!!!!

What a sore for site eyes!

You know all you guys suck in your gut everytime you see that grill! That pretty Chevy grill just is toooo relaxin'. You don't even realize what you look like standin' there staring at your Chevy grills. BUT when that GMC mug rolls around, it's "Crap! There's one of those damn MANLY trucks, and now I feel all defensive for some strange reason!":D

I do feel honored about all the fuss~;)

Gater- you know lines from tombstone, you got a killer truck, AND you built a cool playhouse- plus, YOU STARTED this thread~ I'm LOVIN' IT! Keep up the good work, my man!

PS: THANKS Azcar(youda)man411! Thanks for the support in my absence!

A chevy grill is part of the tin, a GMC grill is part of the FRAME. The surround is made of at least 1/8 or maybe 3/16 steel and bolts to the top of the frame with (IIRC) 1/2" bolts--just like bumper bolts. As old farm trucks if another rig needed a push and had a higher bumper the grill worked fine as a push bar. I guess that's why the tin inner bars are missing on alot of them.

The reason they pushed them with GMC's is because they were so ugly you couldn't hurt them.:p Sorry Zig I couldn't resist.

Well i have to bow down and admit that the GMC front end is the most beautiful front end ever fitted to the front of a truck!

I say this mainly due to fear, as shortly after posting my last comment i was rushed into hospital at 4am, with a kidney stone blocking a kidney!!! only just been released with a drain tube fitted and am in excruciating agony, i would'nt wish this on my worst enemy so a word of warning for those who deride GMC's, they have the backing of the big fella upstairs and he has the power to strike you down!

    Paybacks a real bitch!

    That too shall pass, Neil!

Now that's funny, I don't care who you are. (My comment, not your stone).
