    We are trying to figure out how to wire the traffic light to go red when the light is on in the bathroom, green when off and yellow when the fan is on.

    Use a 3 way switch for the bathroom light, and put the 'red' light on the same contact as the bathroom light, the 'green' light on the 'other' contact of the 3 way switch. Add the yellow light on the same place as the 'fan' wiring on it's switch. Of course, you have to supply a neutral wire for each light, and if the fan is on a different circuit than the bathroom light, the yellow traffic light should use the same neutral as the fan.... Hope this helps, and doesn't confuse so completely that you have to get an electrician.;o)
