Hood Clearance on 66 c 10

I have my truck tore down completely, and don't know what the clerance is going to be, i put a high rise intake on the (350) motor and am trying to figure out how big of a air cleaner i can get and the hood still fit. Whats the clearnce from carb to hood with stock intake


Also, Im going to do the tank swap , anyone know a year model of car that could work

On the hood clearance, not sure, but there is a LOT of room even with a high-rise.

Thanks, I had printed that one out, but that tank is off somethign no one around here ever heard of, hehe
 
Tank relocation

:7 Thanks for info on tank I've been wondering how to move it. Is that the way the tail pipe is supposed to route around the frame rail or is that just because you have the exhaust through the roll pan.Mine will have to be custom because of the original 305V6 engine- I don't see any listing for this engine on exhaust pipes.

99.9% of the exhausts on these trucks needs to be fabricated from the header collectors back. There are just no NOS exhaust suppliers, and the age makes it impractical for vendors to have pre-bent full exhaust systems like the later models have.

I had mine done about a year ago. You can expect tp pay roughly $700 for a muffler shop to do a full length exhaust including the mufflers, hangers, etc...
