My truck has quite a bit of noise coming from the transmission and flywheel. It has carpet over the floor, but no other sound deadeners.

Are the 3 speed transmissions fairly noisy? Has anyone tried the sound deadener floor coverings?

I used the woven fiber sound deadener under my carpet and it made a world of difference. The secret is to take your seat out and extend the carpet and pad all the way to the gas tank. If you get the stuff with the metal facing, put the metal side down against your floorboard.

    Hope this helps,

    Mike
