I use a wood block to jack up the rear of the cab, under the floor....just enough to relieve pressure from the mounts. Unbolt the old ones from the frame and bottom of the cab, dissect the old mounts, clean and paint. Grease the new rubber bushings and insert into mount tubes, like a leaf spring bushing. Grease bolts and insert through shackles and bushings, nut on other end. Assemble as shown, bolt back onto frame and cab. Lower cab and do other side. Here is the rebuilt rear body mount.. Here is where it goes... And installed....
"Grease the bolts" Thank you for all these postings of assembling an AD truck. I would like to suggest that the use of grease (petroleum based) and rubber is not a good idea long-term. Years ago I had a lecture by an automotive engineer about how petroleum based lubricants attack rubber, even the synthetic variants. Better, it was suggested, to use silicone paste. Haasman
