Bill, I Believe They used That Grill on the Bigger Trucks Like The One Ton's And Up ?

That Is Not as Bad as a 58 1/2 Ton Grill I Have Seen In Phoenix On a Utility Truck
Looked To Be Very Rare. The Truck had Single Headlight's That Like The 55-7's and Evan Headlight Cover That Fit Into the Dual Headlight area! And Then the Grill was Nothing Like a 58-9 it Was Just What I Would Call a Barbeque Looking Flat Grill with Turn Signals On It Very Stripped Version For Back Then and UGLY!!!
Sorry If One Of You Have One I Didn't Mean To Offend Anyone!!!

Those single headlight 58/59 beasties are GMC fleet option trucks. Really ugly. They were low-cost, but still had the GMC 270" six cylinder. Used a Chevy instrument panel with a GMC logo in the bottom center. A picture:http://jbhardin-gallery.com/trucks/fleet.html

Interesting Bill, I Did Not Know They Were GMC's,Pretty Stripped Version and No Dome Light! Also The Radio Delete Plate With No Bow-Tie!
Think They Should Of Hinged The Grill To Pull Down and Then You Could Pull UP To The Fire
and Cook Your Hamburger's & Hot Dogs:)

    An aquierd taste....

I think those massive grills look pretty good especially when they are chromed and used on a 4 wheel drive or a larger truck....Big Tim

I guess I like the stuff that is off the beaten path. To me it doesn't look any worse than some if its lineage:

That grill was only used in the 1 1/2 ton and bigger series, still looks better than that ol 58 GMC dump truck we had when I was a boy....looked like part bulldog, but the swingaway fenders were nice for checking oil..etc

The one I always wanted is the brush guard option on the 55-59 truck.
Maybe one day I will make one.
Does anyone know one for sale?
