Does anyone have a 1 ton or bigger Chevy or Dodge with a brake booster that works off the power steering pump? We're putting this unit on the 37 car hauler and there is a vacuum or air nipple that I have no idea where it goes---maybe to a breather/filter? In the picture it is the rubber hose type nipple below the fluid pressure and return lines.

    Evan,

My experience with Hydroboost is just with GM versions but I think this is accurate for Dodge as well. You should have 1 AN pressure fitting to the pump 1 AN pressure fitting to the steering box and the barbed hose fitting that is the return. If I remember correctly, the pressure line next to the barbed hose fitting goes to the steering box and the other pressure line goes to the pump.

    Hope this helps.

Gee, Bruce, feeling kinda dumb but THANK YOU for making me feel that way. Of course there are two pressure lines since both the steering and brakes run off the p/s pump and it has to pass through one on the way to the other plus the return line is always on a nipple on the pump reservoir. She will soon have brakes.

No issues - we used hydroboost all the time in the rock crawlers. It is interesting trying to stop something that is geared at 200 to 1:eek:

Glad I could give something back.

BTW Jimmy did an awesome job with the engine - he's a great guy. THANKS!
