set the tool on the thin end and give it a good smack with a hammer until the rivet seats all the way down it may be nessacary to hold it from the backside.

Sorry to be so thick, on a 1954 1/2 ton truck how do you hold the rivet on the backside (I think that area is enclosed)?

    Thanks, Tim

    tech1,

"set the tool on the thin end and give it a good smack with a hammer until the rivet seats all the way down it may be nessacary to hold it from the backside."

The 1949 and 1954 should be close to the same design. How do you hold the rivet from the back side?

    Thanks, Tim
