PAYNER -- I used a Martz Chassis Engineering for mine. I drove to his shop up near Gettysburg, PA and picked it up. It is the best IFS as far as I am concerned. With his design you do not have to chop any metal off of the inner fender panels to clear any of the A-Arms or other metal like all the others have in the way. The IFS crossmember Gary Martz builds for the 55-59 truck is all 1/4" steel and is easy to install. You can get the unit from his shop pre-assembled, or shipped to you in parts. Gary Martz is a Pan Am Racer (and automotive engineer) and builds race car chassis for the BIG names in racing, plus he has a suspension jig in his shop for nearly every truck and classic car out there. Plus he can build you a great 4-bar for the rear or an all Air-Ride system. If you want to hear more, send me a private message. 55-59 TruckNut
We used the IC Dakota on '55 We are using a crossmember from Industrial Chassis that uses Dodge Dakota front suspension components. Installed 2" dropped spindles, and cut 1.25 coils off of the V6 springs. Sits nice with the small block in place. All our bits are rebuilt '93 Dak parts stripped from a rolling chassis. We are very satisfied with the kit, and tech advice from Steve at IC has been fantastic. I highly recommend it. BarnFind
