Recent purchased a NOS ignition for my 59 Fleetside. With a new key cylinder it has only two positions- off and on- no left turning accessory position. Is this correct? It has accessory posts on the back which function when the switch is in the on position, but no accessory key position as in later switches.
    Any advice?
    Thanx, JPK

Hey Tunacan, I'm certainly no expert when it comes to modern trucks;), I drive a '50:D

I took a quick glance at the '59 restopak on Keith Hardy's website, and depending on the type of engine and tranny set-up, either a 2 way or 3 way switch might be appropriate. Here's the link. http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/chevyresto/59ted21.htm

    Hope this helps.

    2 position ignition switch

Thank you guys. My 59 is in fact a foot starter. Thus a 2 position switch is correct. Your advise is, once again, stove bolt perfect!
