Ignition wiring

Okay folks,
Have had the 58 in a friends shop now for a while putting in a new engine after an engine fire. The wiring was toast as well so had to install another ChevyDuty harness. Problem is, I am running a new HEI distributor and a new 2 position ignition switch. Since the coil, ignition resistor and such are now a non-issue, the wiring diagram supplied with the harness does not offer the options on what wire goes to what as far as the ignition switch and distributor.

Anyone out there dealt with this problem yet? Could use some help. This is the last item to finish before I can drive her home and get her painted.

Got to get this project done next weekend. Any help here would be appreciated.

Why don't you visit the library or somewhere and see if you can get your hands on a late 70's early 80's wiring diagram for the HEI.
 
Got my answer last week from someone who sent me an e-mail response. The problem with what you suggested is that the library would not be able to help because of the harness is a ChevyDuty reproduction of the original. It does not give you the options you need in the way of diagrams.

Solved the problem last weekend and she is running now. Thanks for the response.
