GMC maintenance manual measures toe-in in inches. Local alignment shop's computer measures toe-in in degrees. I need to do some math to convert the 1/16" to 3/16" toe-in spec from the manual to degrees.

What I really need to know is where the toe-in was measured at in inches. I'm guessing that it was taken from a point on the circumference of the tire half way between the bottom and the top of the tire. The measurement across the rear of the tire would then need to be (in my case) 1/8" more than the measurement across the front of the tire at the same half way point.

If I have this right, 1/8" toe-in would equate to around 0.45 degrees of toe-in on my 27" tall tires.

    Any comments?

Shoot, I was hoping someone would know what the degree should be.

You're correct on how to measure the toe-in, but I don't know the degree either. You might post this in the 47-54 forum as its more active (and Nate knows about everything!) or on the forum at Stovebolt.com. If you get the answer I'd appreciate if you'd post it here

    Thanks
