Wife's washing machine stopped the spin dry cycle so I did a search and it said either the shaft rag joint or the clutch was bad. Watched a repair video and then jumped into the ring. Where the instructions said to remove washer cabinet (a real bummer) to access the water pump and motor I immediately saw the instructions were for people that don't own a plasma cutter. The water pump is TIGHT against the rear of the cabinet but 30 seconds with the plasma and all is completely accessible. I wonder if I should send an instruction amendment to Whirpool?

    nicely done

    Evan,
Having spent a LOT of quality time of late with the plasma cutter... I can say I laughed out loud at your solution to the problem at hand. I hope you don't take offense if I refer to it as "Yankee ingenuity".

Great solution! Pop rivet a piano hinge across the top for easy access next time. ;)

It's probably down for louvers and custom paint. If it was the dryer, I'd say paint some flames on it.:D
