FINALLY after months and months of the front of my truck sitting on blocks, its back to keeping itself up. Just got my new wheels and tires mounted and installed. This after swapping out the 3/4 ton axle for a 1/2 ton, installing a power steering kit and a 5 lug disc brake kit. Then I decided to work on swapping from a 4bbl carb to a Throttle body injection system for the 235. What should have only took me a few weeks came out to a few months because of work (fulltime 40 hrs a week) and evening college classes. Summer break is here so I have 3 months to get further along, and hopefully get just that much closer to getting my truck on the road. So far Im liking the stance/ride height. I have one item that I will need to change and that is the CPP steering arm on the front axle, I need to flip it upside down so that the ball joint is toward the ground. Next step is to run all the brake lines from the master cylinder to the front calipers and rear drums. I wanted to wait until the truck was off of the blocks before I crawled underneath it.

I have a 54 235 inline 6 so I had to come up with some brackets to mount the power steering pump. The CPP kit seems like a nice kit, the steering arm on the axle needed some trimming to clear the caliper, nothing a cut-off wheel couldn't fix. Thanks for the compliment
Looks GREAT! Wow, what a heap of work you've done! That looks absolutely GREAT!!!! Great job on the inside, too! I hear you about not having enough time~ I long for the days when I can get back to work on my truck. I just met another fellow Pittsburger AD owner last night. He picked up a 53 Chevy that is in incredible shape and in driving condition. It was great to see one that was all back together, and to know people actually get to drive these. Our time is coming! This coming Friday is our last day of school and I'm only taking one course in July, so hopefully... Thanks for the pictures and the update!
Im satisfied with it so far. The 4.3 injectors and the 3.1 computer seem to be a good match. Good enough for now. Thanks for the compliments
Hard Work ! And it really shows . One thing though : cinder blocks are a serious no -no ! they'll shatter without warning , I am very glad you said you never slid underneath it until it was shod . I can hardly wait to hear the run reports Keep up the good work ! .
