To be able to hop into the roomy cab of this truck in the cold pre dawn rain and have it light right off and idle smoothly , pull out smartly and have heat blowing within a block or two , good visibility and quietude in there as i'm rolling up the Harbor Freeway .
GM has (IMO) always made good trucks and these '73 ~ '87s are no different , built light but sturday , it's just too bad they cheaped out & cut corners everywhere they could in the actual build process .
I'm lucky as this one has no rust .
