I just purchased a 1964 Chevrolet Longbed Stepside today, 11/13/2005 and wanted to join up and say hello.

Any one have any suggestions or advice concerning this model of truck please let me know. I will be asking questions and looking for parts in the very near future.

Glad to be a member of this group.

Hello Gary and welcome to the forum.
Congratulations on your excellent taste in trucks ! ;)
The BEST advice I can give you is to purchase the Factory Service Manual for the 1963 AND the 1964 Suppliment. Both can be purchased through our hosts here at ChevyDuty.
The manuals will quickly pay for themselves in time/money saved during your restoration/repair efforts.
The other advice is not to be afraid to ask questions. There is a lot of knowledge provided by the contributors of this forum and they look forward to helping a fellow trucker. Before you know it, you will be helping others with their questions. That's how this joint works !
