Hey just picked up a 1987 GMC Jimmy (K5) Its been sitting for the better part of a year. I can't get the thing too fire and idle by itself! Its TBI obviously and its squirting fuel, I put ten gallons of new fuel in it (premium) and some injector cleaner. It will start then die on its own, and If i try to give it gas while starting, it wont fire but if I just turn the key without giving it gas it will start and then die?. I'm going to do a fuel filter on it today. Any more ideas? Maybe IAC valve, The previous owner said something was wrong with it, when he parked it, He said it had bottom end but as soon as he hit anout 25-35 it wouldn't go anymore. Doesnt have any coolant leaks no knocks. I'm hoping its a TPS but I guess it could be a number of things! Any input from you gents would help!
