Seasons Greetings Everyone! Ken reminded me that I haven't checked in for awhile so I just letting everyone know I'm still kicking. I've been dealing with some prostate issues lately and I'm scheduled for a biopsy next week. Haven't had alot of time (or money) to do much to the truck lately. With two in college now my "play money" has been redirected to books, tuition ect. I will be off a few days in Janurary, so weather permitting, I may get a chance to do some tinkering. Wishing you and your families a Blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year!! Rob
Robert, hang in there! Remember one thing! Collectively, we are the best advice in the world when it comes to rebuilding AD trucks! Next, we are the best, and cheapest, support group anyone could ever want! The difference is, we can tell you how screwed up you are for free! If you go to anyone else, they'll expect mega-bucks! Anything and everything can be conquered with a little help from your friends! In the words of Tiny Tim: "God bless us, everyone!" Ken
Merry christmas ! Hi Rob ; WELCOME HOME ! . It's good to hear of two youngsters in College , this is our future . Re :the prostate thing , be agressive ! . Maybe read Snowbum's page on it .
Well ; Many here are fuddy-duddies of some indeterminate age........ We like to take care of our own ya know !
Well I had the biopsy this morning and everything went fine. Should have the results next week. In the meantime, as soon as I get going again I'll start working on the truck. It's been on blocks for months now and i'm ready to get things rolling. I ordered a shaved handle kit for it yeaterday although I won't shave the handles. Plans are to use the latches I got off an S-10 and use the original outside handles as dummies. That way the kit will double as locks that I can control with the fob. Also thinking about going back to a carb. The TPI gremlins have me frustrated & I'm tired of messsing with it. Found a good deal on a rebuilt Holley 600 that I may pickup this weekend. I can sell the tpi and have enought to buy the carb & run dual exhaust. Can you tell that I'm ready to drive this thing!!
I know that feeling! Robert, we have our fingers crossed for you on your results AND your truck! Just think, if your truck was finished, you'd probably be out tuition, book$ AND your truck because they would want it to style around campus in! I hope you don't have to contend with snow, on top of everything else. May 2010 be filled with good things and many blessings!
