hello to all, I came accross a 61 LWB fleetside in northern alberta. This truck was a frame up restor with new 283/ powerglide driveline and several upgrades such as PS/PB/Delco Altenator and HEI ignition. It would seem that the unit was abandonded due to lack of $ to finish it off and sat outside in bare metal for approx 3 years. I have been striping and sanding for 3 weeks and hope to have it in color by Sunday eve. I need some help answering a few questions. 1 what makes it an apache, previous owner says it was not but is not sure, I have most of the chrome and appache 10 side emblems. 2 how rare of a truck is this, it apears to be a factry v8 power glide truck by what the door plates are saying. ( Engine does not match serial plate o door though) 3 can not find a new side stip chrome set anywhere. Any suggestions? 4 I am missing the v8 emblem for the center of the hood between the lamp pods, any one know where one may be. ( not to many of these trucks up here) all help is welcome.
