From the beginning I have always wanted the interior of "Henry" to appear very close to stock.....stock seat, stock wheel and column, etc.

About the only thing visible from the windows is additional temp gauge that I am using since I added the SBC.

With the addition of air ride this winter, I am looking for creative ways to hide 4 manual air switches (Dloe's) and 3 gauges.

Behind the speaker grill was my first idea......but I am running a 23" Lokar shifter and if the truck is in park the grill will not open up to 90 degree's. The glove box was another idea........but I would have to angle the gauges to see them from the drivers seat......and would have to lean across the seat to use the switches......

Another idea was making a metal cup holder and putting the gauges in the bottom of them. I would just need to find a place to hide the switches......

    Anybody have any ideas??

A co-worker of mine used to have a side business lowering cars and adding air ride. He was fond of gutting the stock radio and using the push buttons to control the air ride and other such non-stock accessories.

Maybe in the seat riser? They wouldn't show unless you were really looking for them.

The seat riser is an option.....although I am worried about hitting the switches with my feet........or a passengers feet

Can't improve upon the switch hiding ideas but here's how we use the factory AD temp gauge with a V8 engine. On a Cadillac engine we brazed a temp sender fitting into the freeze plug in the back of the left head. S10 054.jpg On a sbc grind a flat spot on the left rear coolant runner, drill, tap, and screw in a sender fitting. The six cylinder temp sender capillary tube is now plenty long enough to reach.

The switches, could they fit behind the ash tray door? The gauges, I not familiar with air-ride susp. on automobiles, but, if you don't HAVE to be constantly monitoring them, how about a panel beside the left door latch. Just behind your left elbow? Or, a hinge down panel under the dash, so they fold away, and out of view?
