I got a 87 that i want to lift and put fatty tires on but I only have 1/2 ton axles that are 6 lug and all the tires that I want are 8 lug. I can get my hands on a 10" sus. lift and 35" rubbers and 3/4 axles. How hard will it be to install all this?}>
As long as your springs will bolt right into where your facory springs are you shouldn't have much of a problem. You'll have to get another pitman arm for the steering linkages to work and longer brake lines to your wheels. If your diffential and driveshaft have different size u-joints then you'll need to fix that as well.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-22-05 AT 05:37 PM (CST)]i have a 86 custom deluxe with 3 inch body lift with 35 inch tires so with 10 inches of lift you probley could fit 39 or even 40 but if you are going to put 35in tire only your best bet would be to do a 4in or 6in sus lift 10in would be a wast for 35s
i just put a lift on my 1986 chevy 1/2 ton and it was not hard at all... i put a 5 inch superlift on. but watch out for them shocks cause there are ones for the front and ones for the back dont get em mixed up....have fun bud
