what year had a light in the rear fender between 55-59? I have a fender for my 56 that has a factory looking hole where apparently a light is supposed to be.
The answer to that one is none of them as far as I know. Sounds like someone tried to add something. Doc
ok 1966 was the only year in the 55-66 style bed that had the back up lamps in the fender,I think all others had a seperate bracket. Jesse Hazell Chevy Duty Tech.
OK, so your saying that a 66 rear fender will interchange with a 56? I learned something... didnt realise that the beds were the same from 55 thru 66. Thanks, TERRY......
the fenders are any way, the beds where the same too except that the bolt pattern for the wood changed in the 60's but i have a 63 Chevy bed on my 58 that i just redrilled the cross sill and put 55-59 front and center cross sills in there and it bolted up fine. Jesse Hazell Chevy Duty Tech.
The fenders are the only thing that are the same. 55 2nd series thru 59 are one design for the bed. 60-66 had a slightly different design. Yes the fenders will interchange. Doc
Well, you could order factory back up lights on the 55-59 step side and fleet side trucks.I have them on some of my trucks. That is what the hole could be from...chevyman
Do you know where I can order them? My Chevy Duty catalog does not have them, nor does my ##### or Truck Shop catalogs. Thanks for your help...
