I'm looking for a steering column (automatic) for a 64 Chevy C10. All linkage is on the floor, so it doesn't matter. Let's make a deal!

Hi Arizona, Consider swapping out to a later model column "without" the built-in javilin. The one that is in there now uses a solid shaft from the steering box to the cross-hairs on the middle of your chest. Swapping to a later model (tilt or other wise) will allow the use of a double-d shaft with universal joint type connections.

What do you think of Ididit columns? Could I use a "newer" column, even though I don't have power steering?

IDIDITs' are a really fine column with a really fine price !!!!

You will have better luck at swap meets/e-bay and save many American dollars too. If you are building a "money is no object" cruisin Queen then the IDIDIT is your baby. I picked up a rebuilt tilt column without the ignition, ( I wanted to keep mine in the stock position) for $150. I got luckey, but I've seen the equivilant on e-Bay for close to that. Shop carefully and don't get caught in a bidding frenzy..
