Have a buyer for the 54 coming tomorrow morning if all goes according to plan. Nice to know he's built several AD's and it's in good hands. Down the road maybe I can try again when I have time and hearing! I plan on hanging around to watch your builds and taking notes... Where did my '53 go?

Here's a photo of my '53 chassis ready for sandblasting and powder coating. I spent the weekend stripping it. I was really please with the condition. The bolts still showed most of the original plating--even the black phosphate.

Was the frame originally a semi gloss black?

Frame Color

No , they were originally glossy black , not overly high gloss but glossy none the less .
