A couple of the guys from the shop came up to the house to carry in a couch for my wife and looked at my desk while there. They were absolutely fascinated by my still in daily use 1954 Royal typewriter and 1958 Burroughs adding machine. They are constantly baffled by such things as flathead Ford valve tools, 216 Chevy babbit rod pan target, and GI ring tool just to name a few. I told them to mark the date and see how the latest whiz bang device they carry around in their pocket was doing in 2073. And, NO BATTERIES.
