i was wondering how many springs to take out of the leaf pack in the front end, wanting to go the cheapest but the lowest stance i can go.

When pulling springs, I always leave the shortest overload, then skip every other one until you get the desired stance. More than 2-3 will probably result in a very bumpy ride. There are also rumors that swapping the front spring perch from the rear end with the rear perch from the front end will get about a 2" drop

The thick overloads help keep the spring pack from over bowing, which I have seen break on minitrucks back in the day.
