lowering only with remove leaf spring

    i think about to remove one leaf from all 4 leaf spring on my 1946 1/2ton. could someone say how low can i get the truck with this operation or it's not rigth to do this?

    you might get 1/2 1 inch lower that way.
    I removed one leaf per spring and dearched them another 4 to 5 inches.

    did it to the 53 for years i needed to swap out the stock bumpstop to get it lower. i used a strip of rubber stuffed under the ubolts as the stop. after the latest rebuild noticed a hairline crack in the frame just under the cab... it's cheep and effective!

    help with lowering

    Robert,
    Is your truck all stock? I have a 54 that is stock and have been having a hard time on how to lower it. I was told that if I dearch the front I could only lower it max 3 inches before it hits rubber stop so relisticly only 2 inches. Dearching is expensive for only 2 inches. I was told that on these trucks you can't do a rear lowering block with it's setup. Anyhelp would be great.
