I have a few questions about lowering the rear of my truck.

    First some background info:

I have a 1954 Chevy truck 3100 and will be purchasing a front straight axle with a 3" drop. I will be using new stock (standard height)leaf springs on the front. The rear axle and leaf springs are both stock equipment.

    Now the questions:

How much do I lower the rear of the truck to make it sit level from front to back? Is it the same 3" or should it be greater than 3" to make it sit level?

Also who offers a rear axle lowering kit that is the height that I should use to level my truck?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards,
    JP
