Hey I have a 1975 Chevy c-10 and I have a few little unusual problems... Every morning when I start it up and start drivin to school the speedometer needle doesn't move it just sits at 0 until later in the day when it starts getting warmer, then it starts working normally... Anyone know whats up with it??

Ok and second of all... The speedometer doesn't seem to like going past 50. Once I hit that speed it just sticks there till I slow down... Is the cabel just loose, dirty, fried (all of the above)???

Thanks alot if you can help me.

    Hey Dan

It could be # of things, your speedo, cable or just in side of your trans. 1st i would disconect the cable from the trans. & get an electric drill & use this to spin your speedo cable, if you get a steady mph. then its just in side of the housing of your trans.

My 350 turbo you can take the housing off where the cable goese into and look at the grommets and linkinge to see if there is any binding.

    good luck
