I have just pulled my manual tranny out of my 73' C/10 2WD I am trying to identify it. It has a L where the 1 should be on the shift knob is this a 3speed with Ganny Low or a 4 speed? Can I change 1st gear to I better ratio so it is not so low is this a Muncie truck tanny or a Saginaw I know it is stock and the truck has always had a 350 the #'s on the tranny are A303 10 GM 6273212 on the side of the main case and GM317 3901131 on the shifter body (toploader peice) any info greatly apreciated! Zach
It sounds like you got a muncie [sm] 465 or 420 tranny. Could not tell you what one you have for sure but its either of those two, and GM said they were 4 spds. Karl ________ FREE THEMES
