I'm missing a mounting bracket for my generator. I have the upper curved slotted part, but I'm missing the bottom one. Can someone (with same engine as me) be so kind to post a couple of pictures of how the generator is mounted, so I can see the bracket, and understand what I'm looking for? My truck is a '65 C10, 3,8L I hope someone can be helpful! Thanks in advance..
Um ; Pardon me , I'm an old geezer so I don't Ken Liters really well . Is this a 289 V-8 ? . With the Delcotron Alternator mounted on the front end of the cylinder head ? .
It's and 230 inline 6. Could be it is called alternator rather than generated - I'm nog english, so don't know all the correct names - hope the helpful people know what I'm talking a bout
Here`s a pic although not original it could be purchased as a unit to install on your engine... http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVY-235-SIX-CYLINDER-ALTERNATOR-BRACKET-HOT-ROD-/130507324784
Wrong DO NOT buy this ! . it's for a pre 1963 235 . You have a Thinwall 194/230/250 CID L6 engine so the alternator mounting is completely different . If you look at pictures of 6 cylinder trucks , Novas , Impalas etcetera , you'll soon see what it is you need . Cheverolet Obsolete's web catalog has very good pictures as does " The Old Car Manual Project " .
We have several factory-correct upper & lower alternator brackets for the '63-'66 Chevy truck 230, 250 & 292 six cylinder motors, if you are still looking.
Picture Or Part I just realized I have the part on my spare engine , I can take a picture for you soon if you still need one . I DO NOT have parts for sale , sorry .
