I was watching the news this morning , lots of million dollar homes up in flames with the Porsches , Lexus' etc. all burned to a crisp , a sad thing indeed .

One gent in an older , smaller home , used the water out of his neighbor's swiming pool after they'd lost that house , to save his house and the old unrestored mustard yellow FIVE WINDOW ADVANCED DESIGN GM PICKUP parked out front :p it's nice to see the common sense that drove him to buy an old pickup , also stood him in good stead and saved it and his home from these terrible firestorms .

Some of those old timers are a LOT smarter (and tougher) than we give them credit for being. And it's good to see!

    I remember!

I remember when I was stationed at Vandenberg, AFB. I was in a bass fishing club that hit the lakes up and down the coast. I'll never forget the vision of flames and smoke racing up or down those golden mountains.:(

I usta did have a nice 1954 Pontiac Super Chief Coupe many years ago....

Some boob thought the truck was a brand F , he didn't even know to call it an F-1....

I went up into the hills after the Malibu fires a few years ago , found scads of burned to the ground classics.... :(
