My Jimmy eats modules like candy

Anybody know why I seem to go thru module like candy. My 77' Jimmy Blazer has had 3 module this year. I've replaced the distributor this year and still seems to be a problem. Any suggestions? Thanks

If I remember right, GM made two different modules, somthing about a
4-pin and 5-pin module. also I think there is a difference in the coil, red wire coil and a yellow wire coil, it has been a long time, but I think I would check and make sure your coil and module is matched. not sure if it makes a difference or not, but every super HEI coil kit (ACCEL/PERTRONIX) I have used, usually makes mention of this fact so I would suppose it would make a difference.
