I have recently purchased a 1965 chevy 4x4, and nothing is adding up. The vin is located in the top inside of the drivers door! it says that the truck is a 65 3/4 ton, two wheel drive. it looks like the frame is a factory 4x4, but i can not find anwhere to reference the vin# off of the frame! it also has the front and rear axles out of a 1978 1/2 ton blazer. I am also trying to find someone that makes lift spring for a 1965 4x4. a lot of places make lowering leaf springs for 60-72, but no lift!
is it possible to use a diferent year leaf spring!
does anyone know who can make anything of the frome vin!

is there anyone out there with any ansers!
if so please let me know, thanksx( :'( :'(

sounds like they put a new cab on the pick up that was off of a 2wd pick up. On my 62 4x4 i had a number stamped in the frame on the drivers side next to the engine and there was one stamped on it under that cab.
