    Well Then ;

    I guess it's lucky for me I'm NOT in your parts then, isn't it :p

    Don't let the beautiful private nurse standing in front of it fool you , my 1949 Chevy 3100 series shop truck is a worn out , thrashed piece of junk .

    The only reason it's still on the road and able to take those 500 mile desert trips at the drop of a hat is because of the Chevrolet Division's incredibly good design and the fact that I sorta kinda of know how to keep it running with used parts and bailing wire.....

    Looking at you guys fabulous show trucks makes me painfully aware I am and will always be , a country bumpkin albiet a very blessed and happy one :D

    You're not alone in the country...

    At least we'll never have to worry about some unhappy jerk keying our ride ;)

    I've read this 4 times now and still can't believe it!

    Nate, you need to tell Nurse Goodbody to cut back on the drugs! Dude, #1, your truck is not a "worn out, thrashed piece of junk" and you know it. Mechanically speaking, if I know you, it could pass any state inspection with no problem. I doubt very seriously if you would take SWMBO or any of your foster kids out 500 miles in the desert if it wasn't 100% mechanically sound!

    #2. It doesn't have to shine to be a diamond! As long as you like it (and by the way, THE most important thing I've ever learned from you), you're paying the bills, so it doesn't matter what it looks like as long as you're happy with it!!

    #3. If you want a paint job or some welding done and don't feel as though you have the expertise to do it yourself, work a trade with someone who does!

    If you still feel the urge to crush it, call me first! I've got a price in mind to keep that from happening!

    PS: I voted today and your first name is spelled "Nathan", right?;)

    All my best to you and yours, my friend!

    Ken

    Not to worry

    I dont think we have to worry to much I am sure Nate will be OK soon :confused: You got to remember he had a nasty crack on the head not that long ago. Maybe he had a mad doctor in hospital who tried to brain wash him in to wanting a F**d truck :mad:

    Nate's New Truck....

    WASH YER MOUTH OUT with Fels Naptha soap ! (unless of course you found a rust free '61 F-100 Unibody with 240 InLine 6 banger , three on the tree and overdrive...:rolleyes: )

    {I HATE Fels Naptha soap , I ate more of it as a bad child than Alfalfa EVER did on Our Gang...}

    FWIW , someone offered me a '51 GMC 1/2 tonner with the original 228 engine meaning I could zooom it faster & harder than I do my Chebby , this prompted a lively discussion with my son about how to handle that FUGLY grille thing , I'm not up to swapping the nose for a decent Chevrolet one so I'll prolly pass this nice $4,000.00 ready to roll Jimmy . ;)
