I'm stumped! I have the rear brake calipers rom an '02 Camaro bolted to my '74? 10 bolt rear. The pedal has always been somewhat soft, but this past weekend I noticed what appeared to be brake fluid buildup all along the inside of the passenger side wheel. I looked over the caliper & hose but find no obvious signs of leakage. Any Ideas??

Could be the seal around the iston, or the axle seal may be gone.

We use phosphorescent dye and UV light to find leaks in just about everything. It just takes a couple drops. Just use one that's compatible with the brake fluid you are using. You might try having a helper hold FIRM pressure on the pedal and see if you can see a drop form.

Took a closer look and it's the axle seal. I would have preferred to deal with the brakes than to take this rear end apart. Hmmmm, maybe time for an upgrade. I've had my eye on a posi!
