Need a panel beater anyone?

VW Crewcab RHD Project

WOW ! that guy is a World Class panel beater ! .

I'd love to ship him my old Mercedes or my '68 VW # 211 Parcel Delivery .

FWIW , those ' suicide ' thrid doors were only used on the first 1,000 or so Crewq Cabs made for the left hand drive market before VW stopped having them made by a coachbuilder the name of whom escapes me right now , I had two of them , pretty cool old buses .

Interesting to see there RHD versions retained that feature longer .

I greatly miss driving my old Zwitter split window Beetle as a daily driver and touring car , used to be an Oval window was a $35.00 beater you could enjoy anywhere any time....
 
Hand Made Cars

At one of the Pomona Swap Meets I hit last year , there was a hand built Rometch convertible the guy had made out of a....'54 IIRC Beetle ~ the work was simply amazing and was like this ~ I tried to talk to the body man as he was standing right there but he was extremely anti-social and was too busy putting his hand in his boyfreind's pants , wierd as I thought he'd brought the car to disply and drum up business.......
 
Got to admit, i had spent the day repairing the front corner of the floor and A post area on my old girl, making bits of sheet to weld in and was quite chuffed when i came in for dinner, after some grub i checked my e-mail and saw this link my friend had sent me, boy was i depressed, makes my forming look like kindergarden stuff, how much could this guy earn restoring vintage cars and trucks?
