Alright, I'm looking at a 1963 Chevy C-10 with a SWB for $1000. The guy said the engine runs, but it also has a rod knocking in it and the transmission is okay, but it's going out! He said I could probably drive it around a bit, but he didn't know for how long. Here's where I need your opinions. I'm going to restore it back to the glory shape it came out in, well, with a long list of modications to it. I got a buddy that'll sell me a 700 trans. with a V6 engine for $500. Do I then sell that engine and get a 350 or something maybe better than that? I like the 700r4 trans. but that's not as much as I love the t56 trans. but I don't have the time right now to convert the entire cab to the way I want it right now. So in my mumbling I asked if I should keep the V6 engine, get a 350, or something bigger? Thanks for the help. John Wayne
