You won't need to move the alternator to add power steering. You mount the power steering pump low. You won't need to move it even if you add air. Brackets are made by aftermarket folks to mount what you want, where you want. Or, you can use factory accessory mounts.
The only area to be concerned about is the Long/short water pump. After that it's mix-n-match.

If you want to look at how I installed PS and where I mounted my accessories check out my web page. I updated my 64 with a 350 and PS/PB using after market pulleys and brackets. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dvalentine, and I'm sure your right, but my thoughts were by moving the ALT the engine would look more perportioal (evened out)and give me more room to work on the power steering. The ALT has one wire that runs to the battery ,which is on that side so I'll have less wires and less clutter. Thank you for the input. Woody (LostinAl35986)

Order the One-Wire conversion harness from out hosts here. No more wire running past the radiator to the battery. Your charging system will thank you later.
