ok, sorry i've been gone for so long, guys. summer time is busy for a wildland firefighter.

    i need your help!
there's a truck out there for sale- lazy's 53 actually- and it's exactly what my dad has always wanted. his desire for these trucks is actually what got me into them. blah, blah, blah- i won't bore you with the sob story. the meat and potatoes here is that we need to raise a few sheckles in order to make this thing a reality, and i have an idea!

i paint beautiful oil paintings and for a small donation to the "help me get my dad into an AD" fund, i'd be willing to do custom work. i can paint trucks, cars, people, animals, aliens, whatever tickles your fancy! normally i wouldn't pester you guys with a sales pitch, but i'm desperate. this truck has my dad all excited and bummed at the same time. i'd like to surprise him with it.

anyway- if anyone is interested- i paint oil on canvas, oil on panel, acrylic on canvas and panel, and i do some pinstriping and lettering/signmaking also. i'll be posting some pictures here shortly.

if you're not interested, no harm, no foul- i won't be pestering you guys. thanks a bunch!!

Glad you're safely back, Jon! I'd love to be able to help you out, but I've got an AD of my own that says, "feeeed meee"! (plus being a teacher doesn't help much either~ no matter how big $$ we get paid)
I'd love to sell some of my art to subsidize my project, but ...
I'll pray that things work out for you though! ADs need love. It's always nice to know there's someone out there wanting to give 'em what they need!

i really appreciate the sentiments, guys! thanks for that. and i have to apologize for the sales pitch. after posting that, and reading it over again, i feel like a heel. after all that you guys have given me, free of charge, out of the kindness of your hearts- i can't be doing that. so, instead- i am going to do the artwork, and i'm going to post it here for free so everyone can enjoy it- just like this site was supposed to be. and if the money is there for the truck, then it was meant to be. otherwise, maybe there'll be another one that comes along.

just wanted to say thank you to all of you on this site who have given me so much of your time and expertise. you all are really great. thanks!!

No need to feel like a heel. You're only trying make your dad's dream come true. I've noticed that there are a few AD's for sale in the $1500 range on some of the sites. Might be a lot more work, but a better price range anyway! Happy hunting.
