I meant of the whole engine.....

If the rocker box has four screws holding it in place , it's a 235...

Looks like a 216 to me. The carb looks like a rochester 1 bbl.

    Inquiring minds!

You said that it is a Canadian truck. Do you live in Canada? Just curious on that!

With that said, I'm curious as to a few things I observed in the engine bay that I will throw out to the gang. I noticed that this Canadian truck has a mount for the horn on the exhaust manifold, as does the American version. However, I see no horn there, but do see 1 horn on the firewall. Does it have 1 horn on the firewall or 2? On the American version, a popular accessory was the dual horn option which was mounted on the firewall. The next thing I noticed was the air cleaner. Is that an oil bath filter? Strange looking top or is it a normal for a '52? Lastly, what is the box on the firewall where the traditional voltage regulator goes?

    Again, curious minds...

I don't want to stir anything up, but...I think that might be a low pressure 235. Check the pushrod cover...it does not cover the side of the head. It is a short one like the later engines. If I'm not mistaken, that makes it an early 235. Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

    Good Looking !

    By jove , I think you're right ~ I was thinking it's from a Passenger car as it's blue but you may have spotted a 235 there , maybe a '54 ? I don't know those very well by sight .

Joe will prolly chime in soon .

    from canada

yes, i live in saskatchewan. there are two horns on the firewall. i didn't notice any mount on the exaust manifold? yes, that is an oil bath air cleaner. i am going to save it but put on a paper air filter on it when i get it running. i think the thing you see on the firewall is a trickle charger for the battery. thanks for the interest.

the valve cover sits on top of the head and is secured with two nuts on the top of the valve cover. the engine is blue.

    1 Tonner

Would then make this a 235 Babbit Pounder engine ~ simple to work on ans easy to maintain , just don't go zooming down the Open Road faster than 45 MPH .
